7 Days Machame Route Itinerary

Day 1 – Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a drive from Moshi or Arusha to Machame Gate.

After registration and meeting your mountain crew, the trek begins through the lush rainforest zone.

The trail passes through dense vegetation where you may see monkeys and tropical birds.

Day 2 – Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Day 4 – Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 5 – Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Today you trek to Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt.

Day 6 – Summit Day: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Your summit attempt begins around midnight.

Reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise is an unforgettable experience.

After celebrating at the summit, descend to Mweka Camp for rest.

Day 7 – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
